Preheat a thermos with boiling water, pour water into thermos and let sit for 10 minutes. Dump the water out and pour in starter. Put the cap on your thermos and head out to where you're going to call and scrape. Take the lid off and just let it sit there, no need to pour it out. When done - put the cap back on and use again the next day.
